Chemo Savvy wins award at the Santa Claus parade

Usually there is no "I" in team, but in the case of the 2012 Santa Claus Parade, Chemo Savvy's teamwork was all about "I". The "I" award that is, for most Innovative, Inspiring and Interesting non-commercial float in the parade!!!

The float itself was another beautiful example of Chemo Savvy teamwork, consisting of a truck transformed to a beautiful scaly dragon, our Baby T dressed up with spectacular pink trees and twinkling pink ribbons, with our friendly paper maché dragon as the centre piece riding along in the boat.

Our walkers, as always looked particularly pink with neon vests and dazzling pink Santa hats as they bopped along to the fun and upbeat Christmas tunes that flowed from our sound system. The addition of our fantastic Chinese Parade dragon capped off our award winning display.

As always we couldn't do this without the great volunteerism of our members, family and our incredible sponsors. But, maybe the best outcome of all is that our win resulted in a donation to the Christmas Cheer board in Chemo Savvy's name.
